New coach rebuilds team
Greg Clink has signed his first two recruits as the new men's basketball head coach and is one step closer to rebuilding the team. Clink announced May 7 that 6-foot-4-inch Ethan Stone will be a Wildcat next fall after his senior year at Cordova High School in Rancho Cordova.
Outlaws ready to start title defense
The skies will light up May 30 when the Chico Outlaws' season begins. The Outlaws, last year's Golden Baseball League champions, will have their first home game of the season against the Long Beach Armada in the first of three "fireworks nights" at Nettleton Stadium.

One headed to Los Angeles for the Occidental College Invitational on May 10, where a highly competitive group of long-distance and medium-distance runners competed from all over the country.
